Zhejiang Galaxy Flood Materials Co., Ltd. (ZGFMC) is originated from the original Hangzhou Galaxy Flood Materials Co., Ltd. The Company mainly develops and produces various types of protective goods used in water engineering, construction engineering and transportation engineering. Its products of alloy steel net have been awarded multiple national patents of invention and new practical type. The products have been put into mass production, having been used and well received in projects of water resources and transportation countrywide for more than 10 years.
The products of ZGFMC include flood control goods/materials, flood emergency goods/materials, draught control goods/materials and flood prevention goods/materials.
The products of ZGFMC ---- alloy steel net series include: (i) alloy net (mesh bag, basketry, stone-contained cage, tuck net, box), alloy steel net (mesh bag, basketry, stone-contained cage, tuck net and box); (ii) gabion, alloy steel wire tetragonal net, alloy gabion, alloy steel wire gabion, alloy steel wire hexagonal net, alloy steel wire quadrangular net, ecological slope protection plate with alloy steel wire reinforcement, ecological slope protection plate group with alloy steel wire reinforcement, flexible mattress with alloy net reinforcement, flexible concrete block, safety net, alloy safety net, fine-meshed safety net; (iii) grouted net, galvanized net, barrier net, metal wire net, etc.
The products mentioned above have excellent properties of resisting impact, shear, wearing and weathering. Both of the Zhejiang Estuary and Seashore Scientific Research Institute of Water Conservancy & Hydropower and the Zheye Metallurgic Products Quality Inspection Company of Zhejiang have conducted tests on the products.The results of the tests show that the corrosion rate of alloy steel wire is less than 0.01 mm/year in seawater, the tensile strength of a single alloy steel wire being larger than 1400 N/mm2, the bearing capacity of alloy net being 15-890 kN/m2.
General products, such as stone-contained net box, steel wire net box with stones contained, galvanized or plastic-plated gabion, metal expansion net box, flexible mattress, steel wire mesh bag, steel wire tuck net, mesh bag, tuck net, gabion, steel wire gabion, etc., can be employed in temporary works. The application of the new technique, new process and new material of these alloy steel net products in projects of water conservancy, transportation and construction is a breakthrough of protective technologies for flood control, flood prevention, dealing with flood emergency, collapse prevention, and of transportation works, civil works, cultivation, etc.
Application scope of alloy steel net products:
l Water conservancy works: As flood control goods/materials, flood emergency goods/materials, flood prevention goods/materials as well as draught fighting goods/materials, the above mentioned products can be used for protection of toes, bottom and slope of various dikes and embankments, and can also be used for protection and reinforcement of spillway and erosion control channel of Watergate, as well as for blocking up concaved bank, hole and collapsed pit.
Transportation works: A single layer or multi-layer alloy steel wire net can be set as reinforcement in road subgrade and/or pavement to make load evenly distributed on road subgrade and/or pavement and strengthen the integrated strength of the pavement to avoid pavement rupture due to heavy load or mud boil; also, the products can be used for consolidation of bridge pier and both side slopes of a highway and control of slope sliding; in addition, the alloy steel wire net can also be used as safety isolation net of expressway and protective net of preventing stones from rolling down from hillside.
Tideland reclamation: The products can be used in laying bed cushions of weir foundation and road subgrade to effectively reduce foundation settlement and raise bearing capacity and integrity of soft soil ground. Compared with the traditional construction method, this technique can reduce backfill amount and land area occupation for slope protection.
Civil works: To reinforcement of soft soil ground, used for crushed-stone-contained piles of foundations of airport and building, used as safety net for high-rise building, protective net of preventing stones from rolling down from hillside, barrier net around building, roof and landscape.
Cultivation net: Used as cultivation net in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and cage culture in deep seawater.
Effects of application:
The alloy steel wire products can be constructed under water, so the cost of cofferdam construction and water drainage can be saved. Their service life of design is some 50 years. Using the alloy steel wire net products for protection of toes can increase the stability of block and decrease construction cost. Employing flexible plates to protect slope and bottom can leave out block stone bed cushion, foundation excavation and cofferdam construction. Hence, construction can be simplified, the cost of which can be saved 30% or so in comparison with that of the traditional construction method. Applying the products in soft soil subgrades of dike and highway can make settlements even and raise bearing capacity of ground.
